The Staff Forward Deployed Engineer role (EMEA only) is a field-situated product engineering position that partners directly with strategic customers to diagnose adoption blockers, contribute production-quality code, and translate field learnings into durable product patterns.
You’ll perform product contributions (bug fixes, features, integrations), provide strategic technical stewardship across Product, Engineering, SRE, and Customer Teams, and drive governed AI adoption of GitLab Duo Agent Platform with reusable guidance and patterns.
Candidates should have staff-level experience building or operating complex production software, strong Ruby on Rails or Go skills, and expertise in AI-assisted development, DevSecOps governance, and cross-functional collaboration; direct GitLab platform experience is highly preferred.
