Remote-first role with the Toronto office optional, and GTA-based candidates are required to accommodate occasional in-person needs. As Engineering Team Lead, you’ll shape engineering culture with other team leads and managers, work with an Engineering Manager and the Product team to shape the ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud, lead a continuous-delivery oriented team, and grow the group through mentoring and a development framework while paying down technical debt. You’ll be the most senior engineer, facilitating solution design, building on team knowledge, coordinating with other engineering teams for input, and valuing autonomy, mastery, practice, doing the right thing, and debt reduction. Responsibilities include leadership tasks such as providing a platform for developers, assisting with prioritization, delivering updates to stakeholders, and ensuring the team has the tools, technology, and freedom to deliver and innovate, all within an agile software development environment. In People Management and Engineering, you’ll hire/onboard new team members, mentor and develop engineers, set objectives and development plans, foster collaboration, align with product and business priorities, and design, write, test solutions, solve complex problems, perform code reviews, respond to product incidents, and support escalations.
