The role is Manager of Cloud Engineering in Wroclaw, Poland (or for relocation), where you will lead, coach, and support Cloud/DevOps engineers focused on SmartBear’s API portfolio and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leadership across multiple time zones. Responsibilities include managing a Cloud Engineering team to optimize quality and velocity, applying Agile practices for continuous deployment, prioritizing milestones and deliverables, cultivating a culture of curiosity and excellence, and planning major cloud infrastructure projects (coding is not required, but you must evaluate your engineers’ output). Qualifications include 3+ years of experience leading Cloud/DevOps teams; a BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; English at least B2 level; experience with public and private cloud technologies (preferably AWS); agile software development experience; and the ability to translate high-level requirements into actionable plans with projected target dates. The company is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative, multi-region team based in Poland, India, and the United States, emphasizing growth and technical depth across multiple products and tech stacks. In this role you will work with Development, Product, and Support teams to build scalable, resilient systems, automate deployments with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Terragrunt), maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, and improve observability using AI tools, while participating in on-call rotations. Requirements include 3–5 years in DevOps or related roles, experience with AWS, IaC, Kubernetes and Helm, CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins, database experience with MySQL and Postgres, networking basics, Linux/Unix familiarity, and solid Git/GitHub skills.
