As a Senior Security Engineer on the Infrastructure Security Team within Product Security, you will lead cross-team initiatives to secure GitLab’s SaaS and Self-Managed offerings and embed security into the public cloud infrastructure from design to delivery. You’ll design and implement security solutions for cloud infrastructure, container platforms, and orchestration, conduct security reviews of infrastructure changes, develop secure patterns, drive remediation of systemic gaps, mentor engineers, and help shape the team’s technical roadmap. The role requires strong experience securing cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS/GCP/Azure), proficiency in Go/Python/Ruby, deep knowledge of container/Kubernetes security and IaC security (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation) with policy-as-code, and the ability to leverage AI to automate processes; bonuses include experience in high-reliability domains and familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
