About the job About WildCard Games At WildCard Games, we don’t just make games—we systematize success. Our model is designed to produce highly engaging, repeatable, and scalable casual card and board games. We focus on fast execution, data-driven decisions, and efficiency.

The Role We’re looking for a product-minded game designer to own the core gameplay experience for our new game development team. Your job is to make the most engaging version of a game first—before layering in monetization or meta-features.

You’ll report directly to the COO and work with a small, fast-moving team to ship 3-4 high-quality core games per year.

What You’ll Do

Own core gameplay design—loops, progression, and mechanics. Focus on engagement first—before monetization or retention systems. Collaborate with engineers & UI/UX designers to build, test, and refine mechanics. Run structured AB tests on FTUE flows, AI behavior, and control schemes. Iterate quickly based on data—not gut instinct. Work within WildCard’s model—leveraging existing tech stacks for scalable success. Help define best practices for rapid, repeatable game production.

Who You Are You thrive in fast-paced environments where execution matters more than endless brainstorming. You know how to make a game feel great without overcomplicating it.

✅ You move fast but smart, testing and refining without over-engineering.

✅ You focus on what engages players, not just what looks cool.

✅ You have a strong product mindset, balancing creativity with execution.

✅ You understand F2P retention loops and how to design for replayability.

✅ Willing to report to and collaborate with someone in Seattle, while most of the team is in Europe.

Must-Have Skills 3+ years in Product Management or Game Design (hybrid experience preferred). Proven track record designing and optimizing core gameplay. Strong data mindset—comfortable with AB tests, telemetry, and retention metrics. Experience in casual F2P games, with a focus on gameplay and session design. Comfortable working flexibly with Seattle time zones (Turkish evenings, US mornings). Bias for execution—you iterate, refine, and ship fast without perfectionism getting in the way.

Bonus Points Experience with casual board & card games (Dominoes, Spades, Solitaire, etc.). Knowledge of AI opponent design or procedural difficulty tuning. Background in economy and monetization design, even if this role is gameplay-focused. Experience in fast-moving game studios or mobile publishers.
