GitKraken is a DevEx platform used by over 40 million developers and 100,000 organizations worldwide, blending built-in AI and workflow orchestration with integrations across desktop, CLI, IDE, web, and mobile to accelerate productivity. The role targets a senior machine learning engineer or applied data scientist who can take ideas from concept to production with high ownership, quickly framing ambiguous problems, exploring messy data, building practical solutions, and measuring impact. You’ll identify high-value opportunities from product, customer, and operational data; own end-to-end execution from data exploration to productization; partner with engineering, product, and leadership; and define success metrics to improve developer workflows and team velocity through AI. The team uses Python for data/ML, with Go and TypeScript across core product and backend, and relies on Snowflake, AWS, and Datadog, while leveraging AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to accelerate development. We’re seeking deep ML experience with a proven track record shipping ML-powered capabilities, strong cross-stack execution, and ownership, with bonus points for prototyped features and rapid iteration, and rewards including competitive pay, flexible PTO, parental leave, health benefits, a 401(k) with company matching, and other perks.
