Refined is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain its analytics data platform, ensuring high-quality, reliable data and enabling self-serve analytics across Customer Success, Marketing, and Product.
You’ll own the analytics layer end-to-end—from ingestion and modeling to quality assurance, documentation, testing, and CI/CD—translating business needs into scalable data products and influencing data-informed decision making.
The role requires 2–3 years of SQL experience (dbt preferred), 1–2 years in data modeling (dimensional modeling), 1–2 years Python, and strong communication; nice-to-haves include coaching others, familiarity with GCP/BigQuery/dlt/Looker, and infrastructure-as-code with Pulumi.
Success is measured by understanding the platform and stakeholders in 3 months, delivering core models and improved testing/docs in 6 months, and becoming a trusted owner shaping modelling standards and reliability in 12 months.
