The AI Events team builds the event platform and trigger system powering GitLab Duo Flows, linking internal events and third-party signals to AI workflows that run automatically.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll design and build the trigger system that connects events (code pushes, MR/issue changes, CI/CD results, deployments) and third-party events to AI workflows, contribute to core event infrastructure, ensure high availability, and work within GitLab’s Rails monolith while collaborating across product and other teams.
Required qualifications include strong Ruby on Rails expertise, a track record integrating large language models into user-facing tools, experience designing scalable, highly available systems, and experience with agentic AI workflows; Python and GitLab product experience are a plus.
