The Senior Professional Services Engineer role involves delivering installation, migration, training, and advisory services, leading engagements from single-node Omnibus installs to large reference architectures built with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code, and guiding migrations to GitLab SaaS or self-managed deployments. You’ll partner with Engagement and Project Managers, translate customer goals into practical plans, interface with product and engineering to unblock outcomes, mentor junior engineers, and manage multiple engagements in a remote, largely asynchronous environment. Required qualifications include experience with one or more IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef or Kubernetes), two or more cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), knowledge of GitLab and security/AI, and strong communication and leadership for customer-facing delivery.
