The Senior People Compliance Specialist (EMEA) role partners with GitLab to manage compliant works council engagements across Germany, the Netherlands, and France, leading end-to-end processes from preparing agendas and information packages to coordinating translations and stakeholder inputs. You will build trusted relationships with works council members, advise managers on timelines and procedural best practices, manage multiple concurrent requests across time zones, and develop standardized processes, templates, training materials, and guidance to improve efficiency and consistency. Required experience includes coordinating works council processes in Europe (at least one of Germany, the Netherlands, or France), fluency in English and French, knowledge of European labor law and information/consultation rights, plus strong project management and cross-functional collaboration with Legal and People teams.
